Common questions about counseling with Stacy
These answers can help you understand how virtual Christian counseling works and what to expect as you take a first step.
Do you offer in-person or online Christian counseling?
I currently provide counseling virtually through Zoom rather than from a physical counseling office. Online counseling allows you to meet from a private, comfortable location without having to travel to an office. If you’re interested in working together, we can discuss whether virtual counseling is appropriate for your needs during your free 20-minute consultation.
Who are your counseling services designed for?
True You Ministries primarily supports Christian women in their 30s and 40s who are navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, unhealthy patterns, difficult boundaries, betrayal, shame, past wounds, or a persistent sense of feeling stuck. Counseling is also available to men when Stacy’s approach and services are an appropriate fit.
What if I am a Christian but I am still struggling?
Struggling does not mean you have failed at faith. Counseling can help connect what you believe with emotional wounds, false beliefs, triggers, and protective patterns that may still need healing.
What actually happens during a counseling session?
Sessions provide a safe place to talk honestly about what you are experiencing. Together, you and Stacy explore present concerns, relevant experiences, beliefs, emotions, relationships, and patterns while integrating biblical truth and practical counseling tools.
How is faith incorporated into counseling?
Biblical truth, prayer, and your relationship with God are woven naturally into the process. Faith is not used to minimize difficult emotions; it supports honest exploration, renewed thinking, identity, hope, and healing.
How long are counseling sessions?
Session length and scheduling are discussed during the free consultation so you understand the current options before beginning.
Are counseling services covered by insurance?
True You Ministries provides pastoral counseling and does not present itself as an insurance-based clinical practice. Ask during your consultation about current fees, payment, and any documentation that may be available.
Will I have work between sessions?
Depending on your goals, you may use reflection exercises, checklists, workbook activities, or practical tools between sessions. These activities support the counseling process rather than replace it.
What is the cancellation policy?
Current scheduling and cancellation expectations will be provided before your first appointment. Contact True You Ministries directly if you need clarification about an existing appointment.
